Are you looking for a delicious new green smoothie? I have one for you right here. This strawberry peach almond green smoothie captures the sweet flavors of summer and will be one of your favorite go-to smoothies.
The best part? It doesn’t have to be summer to enjoy this smoothie. Peaches and strawberries are available frozen year-round in your grocery store so you can enjoy this delicious smoothie any time of year.
Almonds are one of the lowest calories nuts (tied with cashews) at 160 calories per one ounce. They have more calcium than any other nut, 9 grams of monounsaturated (heart-healthy) fats, 6 grams of protein, and 3.5 grams of fiber per serving.
Peaches are low in calories – one large peach has few than 70 calories – and are packed with many health promoting compounds, mineral, and vitamins. They are a great snack (or great in a smoothie!) for losing weight because they make you feel full with very few calories. Peaches are packed with the antioxidant vitamin C, and are a great source of vitamin A.
Like peaches, strawberries are packed with vitamin C. They have a unique combination of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients providing cardiovascular support and improved blood sugar regulation.
Spinach has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant health benefits, and is loaded with vitamins and minerals. It is also a great source of fiber and protein – both help to make you feel fuller faster and longer.
