One cup of mango has 100 calories, 100% of your daily vitamin C recommendation and 35% of your vitamin A  daily recommendation. One cup also contains 12% of your daily fiber recommendation.

Carrots are high in vitamin A and beta-carotene, which have antioxidant and vision-protecting properties.

Mango Carrot Smoothie

Serves 1

  • 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mango chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla powder or extract (optional, skip this if you are using vanilla protein powder)
  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder (optional, the one I use can be found here)
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 to 4 ice cubes (if using fresh mango)

Tip

For even more fiber, add 1 tbsp chia seeds

Directions

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Taste and sweeten as desired.

Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!
